Paris Gardens

This residential development sits on a narrow street of predominantly office buildings and provide 85 units of affordable housing as the off site provision for the Bankside 4 development designed by Richard Rogers Partnership and prepared in conjunction with adjacent redevelopment proposals.

The design is a response to the history of the site, the urban context and building function and is conceived of two distinct elements: a tower which relates directly to the adjacent church and a rear block forming a backdrop  articulated by the restrained use of modern, elegant materials. Safety and security for residents, visitors and ground floor is therefore given over to community use, residential lobbies and to cycle storage pavilions, all of which will provide a much needed level of activity.
