John Stimpson, BA Arch (Hons), Dip (Arch), ARB
John graduated from Sheffield University in 2002 and the Bartlett (UCL) in 2006, before joining Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. John was an instrumental part of a team delivering a successful planning application for a 1.3 acre site on Hanover Square, managing the development of a masterplan which fuses world-class retail and office accommodation with a new Crossrail station below. For the same client, Great Portland Estates, he developed proposals for 160 Great Portland Street, a refurbishment providing 130,000 sq ft of revitalised office space which went on to win the BCO Award for Best Corporate Workplace for London and the South East in 2013. More recently John led a team delivering a nine-story residential block of 90 luxury residential apartments, within the recently completed and acclaimed Fitzroy Place development. He is currently overseeing Wedge House, a mixed-use scheme on Blackfriars Road for Hoxton Hotels. Now on site, the building will offer a diverse mix of uses including; a 192-bed hotel, 40,000 sq ft of high quality office space, as well as public restaurants, conference facilities and a roof top sky-bar. John was appointed Associate Director in 2018.
