King Street Regeneration plans approved
Plans to redevelop Hammersmith Town Hall to create a new mixed-use cultural and residential quarter were approved last night by the council.
The £150 million scheme for King Street Developments Hammersmith Ltd (KSD) – a joint venture between Helical Bar plc and Grainger plc – will now be verified by the mayor, paving the way for the development of 196 high quality new homes; a three-screen community cinema, to be operated by Curzon; new retail, restaurant and cafe space; replacement offices for the council and a new town square.
Councillor NIcholas Botterill, leader of Hammersmith and Fulham Council said: “we have a scheme that Hammersmith can be proud of. We have a plan that will kick start the much needed regeneration of the west end of King Street.”
