Bonhams was one of just three winners of AIA UK Excellence in Design Awards in 2014 it was announced last night.

The awards programme, now in its 26th year, honours excellence in the design of UK buildings. Three winners and three honourable mentions were selected and announced by a jury chaired by Eugene Kohn. Presenting the award to Alex Lifschutz, jury member Malcolm Reading praised the project for its deft insertion of a new building in a complicated central London site.

Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands is working on further projects for the auctioneer in New York and Hong Kong.
