Bonhams Auction House and community centre JW3 have both made the cut of shortlisted projects for the RIBA Awards in the hotly-contested capital.
The JW3, on Finchley Road in Camden, is home to London’s first Jewish Community Centre, and the brainchild of Dame Vivien Duffield.
Bonhams is a new global headquarters for the historic auction house, and creates three vertically stacked auction spaces on a site in the heart of Mayfair with complex heritage, rights to light and Crossrail issues.
The awards recognise excellence in architecture and are part of the institution’s prestigious RIBA Awards scheme. The winners will be announced on May 6.
