The first stage of regeneration, comprising around 3,000 homes, is now complete. In total, 2,000 post-war dwellings in poor repair on the Woodberry Down Estate will be replaced by 6,600 new mixed-tenure homes.
Our practice was also appointed to prepare a detailed application for Phase 4 containing 511 new homes with supporting public realm, a new central square for the wider Woodberry Down area, retail and community space, parking and servicing. The scheme features apartment buildings of 9 to 26 storeys set around shared communal gardens that respond to the emerging context, with completion due in Q4 2028.
We are working collaboratively with Hackney Council, Notting Hill Genesis, Berkeley Homes and the Woodberry Down Community Organisation (WDCO) to develop design proposals and undertake ongoing public engagement, ensuring all communities are kept informed and their views considered.
