Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands’ nominated charity is Body & Soul, an organisation based in Clerkenwell which assists children, teenagers and families living with, or closely affected by childhood trauma.
In the past the focus was on (young) people living with and affected by HIV. More recently it has enlarged to children adopted through the UK care system and teenagers and young adults at risk of suicide in the YANA (You Are Not Alone) programme. Over the past seven years 700 young people have graduated from YANA. All had attempted to take their lives once or more in the year prior to joining the programme, but not one has died by suicide and 98% have made no further attempts since completing the course.
The practice regularly undertakes fundraising events which include the annual British 10K London Run and the ‘Island Bake Off‘. To find out more visit: www.bodyandsoulcharity.org
